We're all deeply saddened by the passing of our friend John. He was a tremendous man who touched the lives of many over the years, and around the world. Many folks have reached out asking questions about what's next, or how to help. For more information, keep reading.

Remembering John Staton
In consideration of his family's wishes, John's chosen family, friends, and loved ones are dedicated to celebrating John's life together.A Celebration of Life will be held for John Saturday, April 11 from 5pm to 8pm at the College Park Aviation Museum.Bring your best photos and stories of John, and join us in remembering him! Food and drinks will be provided, and there is parking on site.Refreshments will be provided. A specific menu hasn't been solidified yet, but gluten-free and vegetarian options are planned.

Time: 5pm - 8pmThe College Park Aviation Museum is located in College Park, Maryland near the University of Maryland, between Route 1 and Kenilworth Avenue (Route 201). It is accessible from the Green Line, College Park/University of Maryland Metro Station.
Remembering John Staton
Located to the right of the College Park Airport, this venue has been selected to honor John's deep love of air and aviation. Established in 1909 by the United States Army Signal Corps, the College Park Airport is home to many "firsts" in aviation, and is particularly significant for the well-known aviators and aviation inventors who played a part in the history of the field.The College Park Aviation Museum has a capacity of total 150 guests, and we will be able to provide seating for 80. Unfortunately, there is currently no handicap access to the second floor at this time.

3:00 PM Caterer arrives, volunteers set up.5:00 PM Doors open.There will be a gallery of John's photos and artwork on display for all to walk through and view at their leisure.A ceremony is planned, which will include a PowerPoint presentation, speakers, and then an open floor for others to share stories, followed by closing remarks.8:00 PM Event Ends, clean up starts.9:00 PM Volunteers out.

While the immediate needs for John's cremation have been provided for, there is still much to do. Between John's Celebration of Life, and other potential projects in his memory, if you would like to help out, please feel free to reach out!
